Position Summary

The Medical Excellence organization at BMS is focused on providing key capabilities that enable Medical to deliver and measure our impact on patients more effectively.

The Medical Policy Team within Medical Excellence is looking for an individual with a growth mindset and interest and/or experience in analytics, research and/or metrics reporting, including dashboards. The intern will interact with business stakeholders and subject matter experts in order to understand their needs. 

This opportunity includes gathering of data (documents, processes, etc.), conducting analysis, and providing feedback on business needs and requirements in a presentation. Candidates must have strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to focus on details and think analytically and strategically in a collaborative and collegial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Extracts and analyzes data to answer complex questions and address business challenges; provides evidence-based recommendations

• Collaborates, collects and communicates input to/from matrix stakeholders such as Medical Communications, Compliance, Legal, Transparency, and others

• Develops and executes project plans and timelines with key stakeholders

• Participates in strategic discussions for key initiatives to align, understand interdependencies, and execute on next steps

• Develops and/or revises training materials, process checklists, communications and/or presentations

Qualifications & Experience

• Current enrolled in a Bachelor’s or PharmD degree program with an interest in pharmaceuticals, scientific communication, compliance, transparency, technology and/or business

• All candidates must be authorized to work in the US at the time of hire.  Please note that immigration or visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal are required

• Experience working with diverse teams or in a matrix environment is desirable

• Strong organization skills with ability to manage multiple projects and timelines effectively

• Proficiency in analytics and ability to communicate data effectively

• Proficient in technology and Microsoft programs, including Excel

• Ability to work independently and effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
