Designing stable horizontal and vertical solutions to stand the test of time is the driver behind our structural engineers who are passionate about the responsibility and impact of their work. Sr Transportation Planner Why you'll love SEH: * Bring coursework concepts to life through hands-on learning * Collaborate on amazing projects of varying size and complexity that positively impact communities * Career development through continued education, mentorship, skills, and technical training * Participation in our 401(k) This Opportunity: * Using drafting or modeling software including AutoCAD, Microstation, and/or REVIT to produce structural models, details and construction documents * Attend inspection trips as assistant to lead inspector and record, compile, and format collected inspection data * Structural design of bridge and building elements using a variety of different structural material types including steel, concrete, masonry, and timber * Calculating quantity take offs and cost estimates for structure elements * Review of shop drawings and submittals during construction administration * Working collaboratively with teammates within the structural group on various design and inspection tasks Essential Qualifications: * Undergraduate student pursing bachelors, or graduate student pursuing master's degree in civil or structural engineering * Ability to travel within the state of Minnesota as needed for team meetings, on-site inspections/visits, etc. * A positive attitude and ability to work in a collaborative environment with other team members Preferred Qualifications: * Completion of courses in one or more of the following: statics, structural analysis, structural materials, wood design, concrete design, steel design, transportation, BIM. Base compensation is expected to be in the range of $17 and $20 per hour based on skill set and experience.
