HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT:

team at Carters! Here we focus on building lasting relationships with our business partners and providing value-
add services through SOX 404 testing, operational audits, and other ad-hoc projects.
This role typically reports into a Senior Manager Internal Audit and is based in our Buckhead office.
-45% -Perform walkthroughs and testing to validate the Company’s compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404; document work performed, communicate exceptions, and follow-up with control owners on deficiencies
-Test and document financial and IT computer systems records for control of access, information integrity, and transaction accuracy
- 35% Perform internal audits and special reviews of Company functions, processes, and other activities to ensure reliability and integrity of information, proper recording of transactions, safeguarding of assets, and compliance with policies and procedures. Internal Audit programs/projects will be defined in the annual Internal Audit plan and will include activities in the following areas: financial, operational, compliance, and/or information technology (IT)
- 10% Continuously improve internal audit approaches, tools and methodologies, and productivity
- 10% Provide ad-hoc analyses as requested
Must have:
- BA/BS Required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Motivation and go-getter attitude - Great team player
- Great project management skills; detailed and deadline-oriented
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0(3.2 GPA or higher strongly preferred)
- Required to have graduated within 6 months of class start date
- Must be able to start in the role full time by January 2025.
- Maintain the following knowledge: - Basic understanding of auditing, GAAP, and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Section 404, risk and controls
- Basic understanding of data analysis and information technology techniques
- Basic understanding of fraud prevention/detection/awareness/auditing techniques
- Good analytical, written communication, interpersonal, listening, interviewing, organizational, consulting, and presentation skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Products (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.)
- Strong relationship skills
Preferred skills and experience:
- Finance/Accounting degree preferred
- CPA, CIA, CISA, or CFE preferred, with a willingness to pursue professional designation if not currently held -
