Job Description
PCG is seeking an Internal Auditor for its’ corporate operations based in Lenexa, Kansas. This individual will perform operational and financial reviews of branch operations designed to add value to those branches through improved internal controls, mitigation of risk, and improving various operating efficiencies.
- Working with Management on scheduling, planning, and executing operational, safety, and financial audits of branch operations.
- Evaluating branch compliance with company policies and operating procedures.
- Preparing written reports for branch/operations management, corporate finance and accounting management, and the Board of Directors.
- Consulting with CFO, Operations Controllers, Regional Controllers and Operations Managers at various levels to assess business metrics, improve operational effectiveness, compliance, and overall profitability at the branch level.
- Assisting in establishing and maintaining corporate policies and procedures.
- Assisting in the year-end audit of the company’s consolidated financial statements and employee benefit plans.
- Assisting in performing due diligence on acquisitions.
- Assisting Regional and Operations Controllers, Corporate Accounting, or Tax Department on special projects.
Requirements
Basic Requirements:
- 1-3 years of experience in operations, corporate accounting, public accounting, or internal auditing
- Robust communication skills, both written and oral
- Ability to work effectively across an organization
- Willing to travel approximately 15% annually
- Demonstrate leadership qualities
- Ability to be flexible and adapt in adverse environments
- Strong ability and desire to build great realtionships
- Ability to think strategically, assess control enviornments, identify key internal controls (or lack thereof) and effectively assess risk
Preferred Requirements
- Experience in the construction industry
- CPA or CIA preferred
- Local to the Kansas City Metro area
