Primary Responsibilities:
On-Site, Windsor Locks, CT.
- Perform Internal Audits at Power & Controls and Props, Windsor Locks, CT.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently and on a team.
- Proficiency in various communication applications including MS Office, data analysis tools plus applied knowledge and daily use of root cause and corrective action tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills must have demonstrated ability to work effectively with associates at all levels throughout the organization.
- Perform periodic audits in production areas, quality clinics, tests, and engineering labs as planned.
- Support, 2nd party audits, DCMA, and Customer Audits as applicable.
- Coordinate and communicate audit schedule and plan with process areas and businesses, including detailed 1st, 2nd, and 3rd party audit agenda for the Power & Controls, Props Surveillance Plans as applicable.
- Ensure sustainment of AS9100D requirements and visibility of any gaps across the organization and leadership. Monitor, control, and reporting of audit program progress.
- Obtain, analyze, and evaluate documentation, data, reports, scorecards, etc., for compliance and create meaningful information to be shared with senior management and sites.
- Analyze audit results to assist with robust Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) activities.
- Ensure the effectiveness of corrective actions through verification and validation.
- Escalate risk and issues for resolution as appropriate.
- Interact and communicate with various groups and various levels of management.
Required Qualifications:
- University Degree and a minimum of 3-5 years prior relevant experience or in the absence of a degree 6-8 years of relevant experience Internal Auditor experience
- Degree ASQ Certified Quality Auditor
- QMS (Quality Management System) audit experience
- Familiar with Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA tools, Fishbone, 5Whys, Fault Tree)
Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
- Mostly Office and Shop Floor environments
- Substantial amounts of telephone and computer work.
- Heavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to procedures.
- Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early.
- Typical 8 hour days plus lunch / 40 hour weeks / core (required) hours are 9AM to 4PM
- Ability to use personal transportation to visit customer locations.
