Job Purpose: Internal Consultant is a dynamic, highly motivated sales professional with a financial services background. In this role, you will need to have a deep understanding of DPLs insurance and annuity products, the sales process and dynamics, and superb interpersonal skills with a high level of self-awareness.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Hit or exceed Monthly Sales Goals and daily contact goals and appointments
- Provide Education to Member Firms within territory to drive product sales
- Provide Dynamic Sales Presentations
- Run on-boarding calls/meetings to ensure proper introduction to DPL team and services
- Attend industry conferences to promote DPL
- Maintain and monitor opportunities in Salesforce
- Team player with excellent communication skills. Must be able to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Consultative Selling - Qualifies potential customers; builds rapport and establishes trust; asks questions to discover client business needs; applies product and market knowledge effectively.
- Prioritizes and plans work activities; uses time efficiently; plans for additional resources; sets goals and objectives; organizes or schedules other people and their tasks; develops realistic action plans.
- Travel Requirement: Up to 10%
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
- 3-5 years of experience in the Insurance sector with demonstrated success selling Annuities.
- Working with clients at a Financial Advisory Firm and experience with Life Insurance experience is a plus. Professional Sales Process training is a plus (Solution Selling, SPIN, Sandler, etc).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office - Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point required. Salesforce, Pardot, referred.
- Competent in required job skills and knowledge; exhibits ability to learn and apply new skills; requires minimal supervision.
- Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions; participates in meetings.
- SIE, Series 6, Series 63 and State Life Insurance License (or equivalents) required. State Health Insurance License preferred.
