New hire experience: | 1% of the base hourly rate granted for each year of verified like experience (within ten years) beyond the requirement, up to a ten-year maximum |

OVERVIEW:
To provide administrative and clerical support for the International Baccalaureate Program.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School education or equivalent required
- Moderate proficiency in typing, with good accuracy; above average test battery
- Computer proficiency to include use of basic software applications (Word, Excel, etc); district based database system; knowledge of standard office equipment
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students, parents, site personnel, district personnel and general public
- Must enjoy working with high school students, teachers and parents
- Ability to respond to inquiries in a tactful, diplomatic and courteous manner
- Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written); compose correspondence; accurate record keeping; maintain confidentiality
- Ability to organize, prioritize, take initiative, direct own workload and meet deadlines while working with frequent interruptions and minimum supervision
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform secretarial duties (i.e. typing, filing, recordkeeping, composing correspondence, scheduling appointments, etc) to support the International Baccalaureate Program (IB)
- Respond to inquiries from students, parents, district personnel and general public to convey IB program information, school and/or district policies and procedures, etc
- Establish and maintain IB student records from a variety of sources to ensure accuracy and compliance for the IB program
- Establish IBNET (computerized student records); assist IB coordinator in designing, maintaining and updating all aspects of electronic recordkeeping
- Coordinate the secure and confidential handling (i.e. receiving, distributing, shipping, etc) of all IB test materials
- Compose documents and/or written materials (i.e. correspondence, newsletters, memos, minutes, school mailings, etc) to communicate and convey information to students, parents, teachers, etc
- Process various documents and materials (i.e. purchase orders, schedule changes, etc) to disseminate information to the appropriate parties
- Coordinate with all IB teachers to ensure resource needs are met according to ‘Vade Mecum’ guidelines
- Maintain and order supplies and materials ensuring availability; monitor budget expenditures in compliance with district, state and/or federal guidelines
- Establish and maintain IB library and bulletin board to provide updated materials and resources
- Attend assigned meetings to provide recordkeeping and to continue to grow in fundamental knowledge of IB program
- Perform other related duties, as assigned, to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit
- Assist other personnel as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities
