The primary function of this position is to provide HR assistance for both Japanese Expatriates/Visitors and to provide administrative support for the IHR Team.

Essential Duties:
- Assist Expatriates/Visitors by providing sufficient living and working environments during their stay in the US. This includes arranging hotel accommodations, transportation to and from work site, and other daily living necessities
- Coordinate and assist in arrangements for expatriates (driver’s license, doctor’s appointments etc.) in collaboration with Regional Headquarters
- Conduct orientation for Expatriates/Visitors regarding basic knowledge about local area and work rules
- Provide administrative assistance for IHR team
- Evaluates and resolves human relations, labor relations, and work-related problems involving Expatriates/Visitors while partnering with leadership in determining appropriate action (in some cases, may collaborate with HR team in Japan.)
- Requires transporting Expatriates/Visitors to governmental offices, or sick person to a hospital or doctor appointments using a designated company car, inclusive of the weekends on rare occasion (once in two months or less)
- Other duties as assigned
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements:
- To ensure the health and safety in the workplace and for the protection of our employees, wearing PPE is a requirement for some roles at PENA and may include equipment such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, bump cap, and a full hazmat suit that includes a respirator.
Education:
- Basic and or Required:
- High school diploma or GED
- Bachelor’s degree Degree in Human Resource, International Business or related field are preferred.
Essential Qualifications:
- 3 plus years of working experience in HR or administration related fields
- Native level of Japanese in speaking or writing or reading
- Business level of English in speaking or writing or reading
- Strong customer focus mindset with great attention to detail, excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of Panasonics seven 7 core principles contribution to society, fairness and honesty, cooperation and team spirit, untiring effort for improvement, courtesy and humility, adaptability, gratitude
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior work experience in Japanese company
- Must be able to work with employees, visitors etc. within all levels of the organization and venders
- Proficient with Microsoft Office 365, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word
