Job Purpose / Overview
· To support the DJS mission, vision, and values through excellence, competence, collaboration, accountability, and ownership.
· Coordination and oversight of all aspects of import shipment movement from PO issuance to delivery while providing personalized
customer service.
Job Duties / Essential Functions
· On time and accurate input of information necessary to coordinate shipment movement from foreign origin to domestic
destination.
· On time and accurate input of data to prepare Importer Security Filings.
· Efficiently track freight online and by phone.
· Effectively communicate shipment status and problems with customer.
· Accurate and on time billing to customer, management of freight payments to carriers, and resolve accounting issues
· Dispatch and coordinate delivery
· Maintain system shipment record and notes in system
· Complete department and/or customer account specific tasks as requested by managers
· Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to quickly grasp and apply new concepts, demonstrating adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills, with proficiency in phone communication.
- Strong interpersonal skills, fostering effective collaboration within the team and with stakeholders.
- Professional demeanor and appearance, projecting a polished and approachable image.
