WHAT THE ROLE DELIVERS
The International Service Specialist will provide exceptional service to the internal and external international customers of the Methacrylate Resins, Bulk Monomers, and Molding Compounds business units of Roehm America LLC.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Conduct business and operate at all times with safety, environmental and industrial hygiene concerns as the first priority.
- Manage all international sales/intercompany sales Duties including (but not limited to) responding to customer inquiries in a timely manner, entering sales orders with accuracy and maintaining sales orders as needed. Utilizing online tools to obtain inventory levels, customer prices and product information as needed.
- Support TCM (Trade Compliance Manager) with providing information as it relates to Duty drawback activities
- Provide Logistics support for project related international shipments or international shipments of specialized commodities.
- Ability to travel up to 10% per year domestically.
- Responsible to detect, troubleshoot & resolve all issues that develop from international shipments including (but not limited to) ISF, customs clearance, inland transport & equipment disposition. Perform root cause analysis and initiate process changes & training to prevent recurrence.
- Create & maintain SLI documents for all international customers. Coordinate with sales, procurement, and logistics to obtain all relevant information for SLIs development and submission to customs brokers and freight forwarders.
- Manage and coordinate activities of customs brokers and freight forwarders to assure they effectively deliver the services required for all Methacrylates import/export shipments. Communicate BL procedures, product information and shipment details as required. Control the processes for audit payment of invoices for these 3rd party services.
- Maintain processes to provide transparency of all import & export transactions related to sales orders and intercompany sales orders of business units Bulk Monomers, Molding Compounds, and Methacrylate Resins. Assure that SAP information (shipment status, booking number, vessel name, and ETA to port) is accurate & complete.
- Coordinate issuance of Certificates of Origin, for USMCA and non-USMCA. Prepare specific trade documents for FDA, USDA or other regulatory authorities. Prepare and issue End Use Certificates, Shippers Certificates, Manufacturers Certificates, etc. as needed.
- Develop and maintain Import, Export, and Airfreight Shipment Routing Procedures. Maintain access to transport rate data, including pre-carriage / on-carriage, obtaining frequent updates from Procurement Services Logistics colleagues (USMCA and Global). Provide rate / service quotation to BLs and coordinate audit / payment of resulting of transport invoices as required.

- Ability to travel domestically, up to 10% of the year.
WHAT WE ARE SEEKING
- Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience OR 10 years or more of equivalent experience in lieu degree.
- Preferred experience in import/export business.
- Preferred experience within a Chemical Company, but not required.
- 5 years of experience in Freight Forwarding, Customs Brokerage, Ocean Transportation, International Supply Chain Management, or International Logistics
- Multilingual preferred (Spanish/German) but willing to work with a qualified candidate.
- Ability to assimilate and clearly communicate complex concept such as trade regulations and customer requirements with precision.
- Literacy in SAP Procurement, Purchase & Sales Order transactions.
- Knowledge of, Import & Export regulations, Ocean freight carrier processes and international air shipment process and International incoterms and customs process.
