Currently, we are partnered with a preferred client in the professional services industry in search of a highly talented International Tax Manager specializing in Private Wealth.
Job Summary:
Our client, a fast-growing CPA advisory firm, seeks an International Tax Manager to join their expanding International Tax practice. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide compliance and consulting services to high-net-worth individuals, multi-generational affluent families, and their private businesses/investment entities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in international tax compliance and planning, with a passion for serving as a trusted advisor to clients with global assets and wealth.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Review complex individual, partnership, S-corp, trust, estate, gift and state tax returns
- Analyze international holdings for disclosure purposes and assist clients with planning around foreign assets and minimizing global taxation
- Work on multiple engagements delivering proactive tax planning and strategic consulting, including inbound planning, expatriation & exit tax planning, and asset structuring
- Manage, supervise, and train staff through guidance and coaching
- Contribute to practice development by participating in thought leadership and identifying service opportunities
- Assist with recruiting activities and participate in the firm's Employee Referral Bonus Program
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent
- CPA, JD or EA required
- 5+ years of experience in a professional services firm providing tax services to high net worth individuals and their closely held businesses
- 1+ years of supervisory experience
- Prior experience with international tax compliance and planning
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Proven ability to analyze foreign information sources and apply judgment in reaching defensible conclusions
- Strong interest in developing a career working with global taxpayers
- Excellent time management and project management skills
- Strong tax research and professional writing skills
- Highly developed Microsoft Suite skills (Word, Excel)
- Demonstrated management, analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
