International Transportation Analyst
Location: Franklin Lakes, NJ/ Remote
Pay: $45 to $55/hr based on experience
POSITION SCOPE
Reporting to the Global Transportation Manager, the International Transportation Analyst will support logistics operational implementation of new international transportation lanes, data analysis for improvement initiatives, and problem solving. The International Transportation Analyst will be tasked with a variety of pre-scoped initiatives for execution and liaise with global, regional, or local stakeholders for implementation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Implementation of new carriers with identified sites (manufacturing plants, Distribution Centers, External Vendors)
o Coordinating carriers and internal stakeholders on operational processes
o Aligning service level agreements
o Reporting status in shared implementation file
• SOP Drafting with support of carrier and local operational stakeholders
• Support in the creation of new carriers lead by Procurement, pre- RFQ implementation
• Data Analysis to support business case creation and problem solving
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
EXPERIENCE:
• Practical and/or educational-based familiarity with containerized ocean shipping operations (heavy emphasis on export operations)
• i.e. marine terminal operations, steamship liner operations, drayage operations, intermodal rail operations
• Theoretical and/or awareness level knowledge of heavy-air & parcel operations
• Basic understanding of volumetric weight theory & calculations
• Theoretical and/or practical knowledge of Incoterms
• Basic understanding of finished goods distribution methodologies (HUB & spoke)
• Knowledge of project management methodologies
• Prior experience operating in a regulated industry, ideally in a Medical Device/Pharmaceutical setting

• Coordination and organizational skills required to track implementation progress
• Resilience in a complex organization where information is fragmented.
• High degree of stakeholder focus and emotional intelligence
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Works well under pressure and meets deadlines with quality work.
• Tolerance for ambiguity and the ability to solve complex problems.
• Strong analytical skills and demonstrated financial acumen for logistics cost reporting and business case development.
• System familiarity and skills desired: Advance skills in Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, Macro creation, Powerpoint, Visio, MS Project, Sharepoint)
EDUCATION:
• Bachelor's Degree is a must, preferably with a concentration in Global Transportation Operations and/or Supply Chain
