Hiring Range: $44,304 - $57,595.20
Serving under the direction of the Manager of Academic Initiatives & Special Projects, this position will be responsible for developing and coordinating internship and mentorship programs for students. This position will work closely with faculty, local businesses/organizations, and students to facilitate meaningful experiential learning opportunities that align with the college's academic programs and students’ career goals. The coordinator will work with program area directors to support and guide students in securing internship and mentorship placements. The position will interact with a variety of both internal (faculty/staff) and external constituents, including business, industry, subject matter experts, and corporate leaders. This position is responsible for:
· Support faculty, Program Directors and Associate Deans in developing and maintaining relationships with local businesses/organizations in order to identify and secure student internships and mentorship opportunities.
· Collaborate with faculty and academic departments to align internships and mentorship opportunities with curriculum requirements and learning outcomes.
· Provide guidance and support to students in identifying, applying for, and securing internships and mentorship opportunities.
· Assist faculty and academic departments with coordinating the placement process, including matching students with appropriate internships/mentors and facilitating necessary paperwork.
· Assist with developing and delivering workshops and training sessions to prepare students for internships and mentorship experiences.
· Assist in building and maintaining industry partnerships by fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders and identifying new opportunities for collaboration.
· Collect and analyze data to assess the effectiveness of the internship and mentorship programs and make recommendations for improvements.
· Maintain accurate records of internships, mentorships, and student outcomes for reporting purposes.
· Collaborate with career services, academic advisors, and other stakeholders to promote and market internship and mentorship programs to students and employers.
· Stay updated with industry trends and labor market demands to ensure the relevancy and effectiveness of internship and mentorship programs.
