Internship- Mechanical Engineer - Skana Aluminum

COMPETENCIES:(i.e., to be defined in terms of required education, training, skills, and/or experience)

• Solidworks knowledge and experience required
• AutoCad experience needed
• Strong communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, operating and file systems
• Analytic or test equipment experience a plus
• Must be able to demonstrate mechanical or electrical/electronic aptitude

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: (i.e., functions, authorities, tasks, etc.)

• Develop design concepts from sketches including as built documentation of existing facility/equipment configurations per direction of engineering and/or maintenance.
• Work with other engineers to develop and document facility/equipment condition via test and evaluation instruments.
• Develop preventative and predictive maintenance profiles from test and evaluation results.
• Maintain CAD Library including creating, modifying and managing facility/equipment AutoCAD files.
• Maintain and manage scanned blueprint files (PDF format) for ease of access and reproducibility as needed.
• Manage common projects and/or tasks as requested or required.
• Track short and long term lead items as ordered and received for coordinating with project implementation.

• Interface internally with all employees
• Interface externally with contractors and suppliers
