Internship Summary
Helping Texans is the H-E-B Way. Spend 10 weeks with us exploring the retail industry as an H-E-B Management Intern. Program dates will be from June 2nd – August 8th, the days and hours you’ll work will vary based on a retail scheduleincluding some night and weekend shifts.
You will be assigned to one of our Stores and learn the in’s and out’s of being a People Leader and running a store directly from Operations leaders who were once in your shoes! Be prepared to learn about financials, inventory, people planning, HR, taking care of our customers and much more! We hope to see you this summer as an H-E-B Partner and together, we can be part of something as big as Texas!

- Are currently enrolled in an associate's, bachelor’s or master’s degreeprogram
Program Expectations
- Must have reliable transportation or be open to using public transportation
- Must be available for the entire 10 weeks
- The availability to commit to full-time work in-person for the duration of the Internship, and work a varying work schedule, if required
Physical and Other Requirements
- Function in a fast-paced, retail, office environment
- Lift up to 20 lbs on a regular basis
- Work rotating schedules
Projects previous Interns have worked on:
- Product Development: Intern team developed food kits from scratch, focusing on ingredient selection, training of Partners on kit creation, and merchandising. The project also involved in-depth business analysis to ensure an appealing and profitable product.
- Inventory Management: Intern discovered root cause of inaccuracies within inventory reporting system and provided recommendations for the Store to minimize reporting errors.
- Career Program Awareness: Intern created initiatives, such as events and brochures, to enhance Partner exposure and education on H-E-B Career Programs.
