HARBORVIEW’S INTERPRETER SERVICES has an outstanding opportunity for a INTERPRETER SERVICES COORDINATOR WORK SCHEDULE
+ 40 hours per week, Full-Time
+ Day Shift POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
+ First point of contact for the department
+ Work in a fast-paced environment
+ Be a part of a team dedicated to improving health care access JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Schedule interpreters for LEP (Limited English Proficiency), Deaf, Deafblind and hard of hearing patients for all outpatient appointments and inpatient needs
+ With the assistance of interpreters, round on inpatient patients to ensure that patient communication needs are being met
+ Take appropriate action to fill all interpreter requests and confirm the status of requests with the originating clinic/unit/department
+ Process a large volume of detail in a limited amount of time
+ Create daily schedules for staff interpreters
+ Coordinate requests for agency, telephonic and video interpreters, while responding to emergent (same day) requests for in person interpreters and theimmediate dispatching of interpreters
+ Maintain confidentiality of all medical, financial, or other sensitive materials and information in printed, electronic or verbal form REQUIREMENTS
+ High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of experience in a healthcare or administrative role OR equivalent education/experience
+ Advanced skills with MS Word, Excel, Access and Outlook
+ Demonstrated ability to exercises independent judgment in a fast paced/high pressure environment
+ Experience with EPIC Cadence scheduling Experience with multi-line telephone systems
+ Experience working in a multi-cultural setting Knowledge of medical terminology. ABOUT HARBORVIEW MEDICAL CENTER
