Interstate Contract Monitor-028

U.S. Facilities, Inc., a consolidated facility management/infrastructure service organization, is seeking an Interstate Contract Monitor to work at our client site in the Fredericksburg Region.This is to be accomplished on a routine basis as outlined in the following responsibilities:

• Contract Oversite and Performance Monitoring.

• Quality Performance and Control

• • • Basic Work Zone Certification.
    • DEQ: Erosion and Sediment Control for Inspectors Course.
    • DEQ: Stormwater Management for Inspectors Course.
    • Various materials certifications.

• Work Plan/Accomplishment Documentation

• • • Coordinate with Interstate Manager and Vendor work schedule.
    • Enter work accomplished data into HMMS provided by vendors.

• Assist Incident Management

• • • Rotational schedule responding to crashes (Any day, time, or weather).
    • Take notes for TRIP vendor and create a field report.
    • Provide traffic control knowledge to the Area Command on site.

• Assist Emergency Weather Preparation and Response

• • • Monitor and coordinate snow plowing vendors (12-hour field shift).
    • Coordinate snow equipment inspections.
• Any other duties as assigned by a supervisor and/or USF Senior Project Manager.

Qualifications:

 Education:

• High School Diploma

Experience/Skill Sets:

• Knowledge of Fredericksburg highway infrastructure strongly desired
• Strong computer skills and the ability to learn VDOT based computer systems.

Work Conditions:

• Business hours, controlled environment
• 90-day probationary period required
• Primarily field work required but some indoor work may be necessary.

Pre-employment Requirements:

• A fingerprint based Criminal History Records Check (CHRC) will be conducted prior to employment.
• Drug Screening will be conducted prior to employment.
• 18 years of age or older
• Virginia Driver’s License in good standing

NOTE: This position is designed as essential and, as such, all duties associated with this job are required during emergency situations which may include but are not limited to inclement weather, disaster response and emergency operations. VDOT/Project Management will determine when essential positions are required.  

Valid driver’s license is required. DMV records check is required. Pre-employment drug screen is required. Fingerprint-based Criminal History Records Check is required.
