Essential Duties and Responsibilities: In this role, your main responsibilities will include
- Planning curriculum, lessons, and special education programs using effective teaching methods.
- Maintaining regular contact with parents and involving them in their child's educational progress.
- Ensuring the classroom environment is well-organized and conducive to learning.
- Instructing individuals and groups in various special education skill areas.
- Modifying curriculum according to individualized education plans (IEPs) and conducting testing evaluations.
- Can transit between the two buildings.
Requirements
- Certificates and/or Licenses: Active Intervention Specialist License in OH
- Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree is required, with preferred classroom experience & 1+ year of experience working as a Intervention Specialist.

• They will also foster professional friendships with faculty and staff, seek collaborative relationships with parents, and mentor students in the pursuit of their own flourishing. • Conduct occupational therapy assessments and interpret results to support student learning. • Participate in IEP meetings, MTSS meetings, and other staff or department meetings. • Provide direct and consultative therapeutic services to students in individual or group settings, per IEP requirements. • Create goals and objectives for students to work toward and identify areas of progress and challenges. • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to design and implement appropriate interventions and accommodations for students. • Maintain student records and submit information/records, including student progress, as needed to support students and adhere to IEP regulations.
