BayCare Medical Group, the leading medical group in the Tampa Bay area is seeking a highly skilled and motivated interventional cardiologist to join our cardiology team in Winter Haven, Florida. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience and expertise in performing interventional procedures, a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care, and a passion for advancing the field of interventional cardiology through innovation, research, and education. This position offers the opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art facility alongside a collaborative team of cardiovascular specialists and make a significant impact on the lives of patients with complex cardiovascular conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic procedures including cardiac catheterization, angiography, intravascular ultrasound (IVUS), and fractional flow reserve (FFR) to evaluate the severity and extent of cardiovascular diseases.
- Conduct a wide range of interventional procedures such as percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), coronary angioplasty, stent placement, atherectomy, and structural heart interventions (e.g., transcatheter aortic valve replacement - TAVR, transcatheter mitral valve repair - TMVR).
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with cardiovascular conditions, providing pre-procedure counseling, procedural care, and post-procedure follow-up.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and optimize treatment outcomes.
- Adhere to established clinical guidelines, protocols, and quality assurance measures to ensure the safety, efficacy, and quality of interventional procedures.
- Participate in educational activities, research endeavors, and quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications:
- Board certification or eligibility in cardiovascular diseases and interventional cardiology.
- Completion of an accredited fellowship program in interventional cardiology.
- State medical license and privileges to practice interventional cardiology in healthcare institutions.
- Proficiency in performing interventional procedures and interpreting diagnostic tests.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to patient-centered care, professionalism, and continuous improvement in clinical practice.
