About the Job
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Dedicated procedure time
- Inpatient/Outpatient Responsibilities: Balanced distribution of inpatient and outpatient care
- Call Ratio: General call and Interventional call responsibilities
- Daily Patient Census: Manage a consistent daily patient load
- Equipment/Resources: Access to state-of-the-art equipment and comprehensive resources
- Provider Support: Collaborative team of physicians and Advanced Practice Professionals (APPs) (details on the number of physicians vs. APPs can be provided upon inquiry)
- Perform a variety of interventional GI procedures, including ERCP, EUS, and advanced endoscopic techniques
- Provide general gastroenterology care
- Utilize advanced imaging modalities and navigational tools for accurate diagnosis and treatment
- Evaluate and manage patients with complex gastrointestinal conditions
- Collaborate closely with referring physicians and other specialists
- Participate in multidisciplinary conferences and tumor boards
- Provide patient education and counseling
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, clinical research projects, and educational activities
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record system
- MD or DO degree
- Board-certified in Gastroenterology
- Fellowship-trained in Interventional Gastroenterology
- Licensed to practice medicine in the state
- Proven experience in interventional gastroenterology procedures
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
