About the Job
- Maintain accurate records of all inventory transactions, ensuring they are properly reflected in the financial statements.
- Conduct regular inventory reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies between physical and recorded inventory.
- Track and report on inventory metrics, including turnover ratios, obsolescence, and shrinkage.
- Receiving and inspection of all incoming shipments to ensure accurate records and documentation.
- Verify accuracy of outbound shipments against customer orders and shipping documents.
- Ensure timely and accurate posting of transactions in the Expandable ERP system.
- Maintain and update BOMs within the Expandable ERP system.
- Work with production and engineering teams to ensure BOMs accurately reflect current manufacturing processes and materials usage.
- Implement and manage a regular cycle count program to ensure accuracy of physical inventory levels.
- Investigate and resolve inventory variances, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to maintain proper stock levels and optimize warehouse organization.
- Respond to customer inquiries related to order status, shipping, and product availability.
- Assist in resolving issues related to inventory shortages, delays, or inaccuracies in shipments.
- Reports to: Division Controller.
- Collaborates with: Purchasing, Quality, R&D, and Production teams, and finance teams.
- Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field (preferred).
- 2-4 years of experience in inventory accounting, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Proficiency in Expandable ERP or similar enterprise resource planning systems.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles, cycle counts, and BOM maintenance.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Proficiency or working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace is preferred.
- Ability to operate forklift, pallet jack is helpful, safety training is offered.
- Primary work environment is within the warehouse and shipping office.
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment that may include exposure to varying temperatures, noise, and occasional physical demands such as lifting and moving inventory items.
