About the Job
The Inventory Audit Specialist conducts full store inventory counts, recounts, or cycle counts. This role will involve taking pictures and notes during the audit counts, reviewing preliminary figures to focus the scope of the audit investigation for the field operations team, and coach Store Managers on improving their audit readiness. The Inventory Audit Specialist will work closely with the field operations team (Operations Director, Area Managers, Store Managers) and report directly to the Loss Prevention Manager. This position is a home office position with most of the work occurring in the stores.
Essential Responsibilities:
· Conducts full store inventory audits, recounts, or cycle counts as need determines and assigned by the Loss Prevention Manager.
· Takes pictures and notes during audits to relay the condition of the store and audit preparedness to management.
· Reviews Preliminary Figures and assigns focused audit investigations to Area Managers.
· Assists and coaches Store Managers and their teams in audit preparation as need determines and assigned by the Loss Prevention Manager, including but not limited to inventory/backstock organization, invoice tracking, write offs and returns, and vendor check-in.
· Assists with workshops and training related to the audit process.

Limited Supervision: Works from overall policies, goals, and budgetary limits. Completes assigned tasks unsupervised with direct accountability for finals results.

Education & Experience:
· Minimum of five years of experience in retail operations
· Minimum of five years retail inventory auditing experience

· Strong overall knowledge of the business.
· Ability to develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish assigned work, for self and team.
· Ability to pay close attention to detail.
