Job Title: Inventory Clerk - Part Time Wage/Hour Status: Non-Exempt 233 days
Reports to: Instructional Materials Specialist

Primary Purpose:
Work together with district Instructional Materials and Digital Access Specialist to receive, process and deliver the textbooks and other instructional materials needed by campuses and to remove out-of-adoption materials.
Qualifications:
Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
High School diploma or GED equivalent
Valid Driver’s license
Ability to lift and carry 30-50 lb. boxes
Ability to use equipment to move boxes and pallets
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Gmail and Google
Ability to maintain accurate records and to write clearly
Ability to follow verbal instructions and communicate effectively with other staff members
Must be highly detail oriented; self-starter and punctual in attendance
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Inventory Clerk:
- Receive new textbooks and materials into district warehouse
- Barcode and enter new materials into computer database
- Pull orders of materials needed by campuses, box, and stage on pallets for delivery
- Coordinate movements of textbooks with campus textbook coordinators
- Ensure paperwork and markings on boxes conform to set standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse
- Maintain filing system of paper records
- Maintain and use online database to track materials
- Collect out-of-adoption materials from campuses and arrange for disposal of items
- Assist with planning of summer activity and ordering of materials as needed
- Regular and consistent attendance.
- Maintain attendance and daily time records via Skyward True Time.
- Performs all other duties as assigned or requested by the Instructional Materials Specialist
Equipment Used:
Electric pallet jack; forklift; reach truck; handcart; computer; scan gun, safety equipment (flares, reflective signs), fire extinguisher, broom, two-way radio

Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent walking, stooping, bending, kneeling, pushing and pulling; moderate lifting and carrying. Work outside and inside; work around vehicles and machinery with moving parts; moderate exposure to extreme temperatures and vehicle fumes. Demonstrate patience and flexibility in changing job demands and when interacting with employees, visitors, and the public.
Internal District travel, rare out of District travel, occasional prolonged and irregular hours.
Tolerate temperature variations within the warehouse between 40 and 120 degrees.
