About the Job
Aspen Fiber Networks, a leading information technology solutions provider, is seeking an analytical and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Inventory Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing our inventory, ensuring accurate stock levels and efficient inventory control processes.
As an Inventory Specialist, you will work closely with various teams, including logistics, purchasing, and operations, to track inventory movements, manage stock levels, and conduct regular inventory audits. Your strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills will contribute to maintaining accurate inventory records and optimizing inventory management processes.
Responsibilities
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure stock availability for ongoing projects.
- Oversee inventory control processes, including receiving, storage, and distribution.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to reconcile physical inventory with system records.
- Identify and investigate inventory discrepancies or variances.
- Coordinate with purchasing team to ensure timely reorder of inventory items.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and update inventory management systems.
- Assist in implementing inventory management best practices and process improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize inventory control processes.
- Identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory and recommend appropriate actions.
Requirements
- Prior experience in inventory management or related role is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of inventory control processes and best practices.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Associate degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Prior experience in the information technology industry is a plus.
