Summary
The Parts Inventory Control Lead is responsible for supporting the material planning and inventory control activities within Carolina CAT Parts
This role will partner with OEM (Caterpillar and allied vendors), operations and supporting functions across Carolina CAT in support of key objectives pertaining to performance indicators of Safety, Delivery, Cost, and Inventory performance
This will be achieved through understanding the demand plan, converting it to material requirements, and driving fulfillment to the branches.
Essential Functions
Provide general coaching and guidance on inventory control techniques, calculations, day-to-day problem solving and ensure daily work being aligned to team goals.
Leads and assists in the day-to-day purchasing and updating of inventory requirements, ensuring the timeliness and integrity of the processes in place are maintained.
Work with Inventory Control Manager and Continuous Improvement Team to implement procedures and best practices
Optimize Inventory: Monitor and analyze inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability, reducing costs associated with overstock and stockouts.
Data Analysis and Reporting: Generate and interpret detailed inventory reports to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement
Evaluate part demand history to plan inventory levels for high part availability and present findings and suggestions to Inventory Control manager.
Supply Chain Coordination: Collaborate with Operations, Sales, Expeditors, and cross functional teams to align inventory strategy with overall supply chain goals.
Execute updating of price changes, Caterpillar returns, claim submissions, update inventory configurations and MRP data as required.
Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience
2-3 years of experience in a related field required
Degree or certification in supply chain management or equivalent preferred
Ability to create/improve processes
Strong problem solving and communication skills.
Must have strong analytic capability.
Ability to effectively and professionally work under pressure, in a team-oriented environment, with frequent changes in deadlines and priorities.
Proficiency using Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
