Wage: Starts at a base of $21.84/Hr

Position Overview:  The Inventory Control Specialist I is responsible for maintaining accurate information on inventory levels throughout the facility.

Essential Job Functions:

• Performs cycle count inventory.
• Reconciles inventory discrepancies when discovered.
• Works with department managers to maintain accurate inventory information.
• Responsible for directing the flow of damaged merchandise.
• Works with internal and external resources to prepare and distribute products for donations.
• Proficient in all functions within the Inventory Control department and serves as back-up for other positions.
• Maintains Quality Issues Database and works closely with other departments to facilitate issue resolution.
• Performs month-end analysis of large-scale inventory adjustments.
• Complies with all company policies and procedures and operates all equipment in a safe and food-safe manner.
• Complies with Bob’s Red Mill food safety policies and procedures including adherence to FDA regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Performs other tasks and duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• This position reports to the Inventory Control Manager.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

• Ability to perform basic mathematical functions, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to run and communicate reports effectively.
• Possesses effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficient in using ERP and supporting software.
• Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others.

• Working proficiency with computers and basic software.
• Proficiency with job-related tools and equipment.
• Proficient in using Microsoft 365, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Ability to read, understand, and communicate information in English.
• Demonstrates Respect, Teamwork, Accountability, and Determination.
• Ability to work in an environment where exposure to potential food allergens is or may be present.

Qualifications:

• 1 or more years of experience in the food packaging industry, AND

• High school diploma or equivalent; OR

• Any combination of education and additional years of experience that provides the necessary skills, knowledge, and ability to perform assigned tasks.

• Must have or be able to obtain forklift certification.

Physical Demands: 

• Frequently requires the ability to lift and stack products weighing up to 10 pounds.
• Occasionally requires the ability to lift and stack products weighing up to 55 pounds.
• Position may require standing for up to 4 hours at a time.
• Position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Work Environment:

• The primary work environment for this position is within a food manufacturing and warehouse setting.
• Use of personal protective equipment, including, but not limited to, helmets, eye protection, earplugs, and hairnets are mandatory, and the use of non-slip shoes is recommended.
