JOB TITLE: Shipping & Receiving
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
ATR has a current opening for a Temporary Materials Coordinator to support growth in the Company duties include, but are not limited to:
Inventory –
- Monitor and re-stock supplies in warehouse area and production floor
- Review physical and electronic shipping documents for accuracy and completeness
- Participate in periodic physical inventories; assist in reconciliations versus electronic records
Shipping and Receiving –
- Receive incoming materials of all kinds:
- Review their documentation, perform basic inspection relative to Purchase Order records or return materials authorizations
- Log materials accurately in materials management system, and
- Place them in assigned inventory locations.
- Prepare finished goods for shipment (packing and wrapping), prepare shipping documents, and coordinate transportation and physical shipment.
- Make accurate entries in materials management system.
Materials –
- Release and deliver materials daily to production floor in accordance with manufacturing schedules
- Provide regular and ad-hoc information to internal customers
- Provide direction to manual labor who may assist at times with physical aspects of the function
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum High School Diploma, additional certifications or education desired
- Must have prior experience and demonstrated ability to work in electronic information systems relative to shipping and receiving, materials management or manufacturing functions. Deltek Costpoint experience a plus
- Experience in a technical or industrial environment is desirable
- Certification to operate a forklift desirable
- Some experience and facility with power tools is helpful
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Attention to detail, including ability to distinguish between materials having similar designations, make accurate unit counts, identify inconsistencies in documentation, etc.
- Ability to navigate, understand, and perform duties in relevant portions of an electronic materials management system
- Personal discipline and conscientiousness to keep electronic and physical records accurate, organized, and up-to-date
- Ability to establish and maintain daily collaborative working relationships with manufacturing personnel, quality/inspection personnel, and corporate personnel (purchasing, accounting, etc.)
- Ability to deal thoughtfully with the unexpected and solve problems within field of responsibility
- Flexibility to respond to changing organizational needs and priorities
- Smooth verbal communication with all levels of management
- Ability and energy to stay on feet very frequently, bend, stoop, lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds when required
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Candidate must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain favorable background investigation result
