The Inventory Management System Technician acts as a liaison between the staff and coordinators. They are responsible for ensuring that inventory is correct and accurate, handling any issues as they occur in order for the warehouse staff to fill orders in the R2 inventory system in a timely manner prior to order dispatch. In addition, they will aide departments in a continual cycle count process to maintain inventory control.
Your day will look like this:
- Ensure that any Inventory System (R2) order conflicts are resolved in a timely manner in order for LP staff to properly fill orders.
- Manage inventory cycle counts across US sites to ensure accurate counts and that proper practices are being employed and highlights potential problems.
- Works with Project Managers, coordinators and transport to forecast accurate return dates or potential split returns for accurate inventory control.
- Acts as the point of contact between the inventory team and the workshop for any questions related to the R2 inventory system.
- Liaise with inventory management and department managers to resolve any inventory issues in a timely manner.
- Work with department managers to manage Overdue and Missing statuses in the R2 inventory system.
- Assists warehouse technicians with equipment preparation and returns as needed.
- Any other related duties associated with the position.
Your profile:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in a live event production or event rental equipment
- Minimum three (3) years of experience with inventory management software.
- Experience with the R2 inventory system a plus!
- Good knowledge of inventory management software
- Knowledge of Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Knowledge of live event production equipment (an asset)
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate information in a logical and clear way.
- Ability to work alone and in a team environment.
- Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good ability to self-start and prioritize within tight deadlines.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to change.
- Strong customer service skills
- Forklift certification (an asset)
