JOB SUMMARY:
The Mid-Ohio Food Collective (MOFC) is looking for an Inventory Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Inventory team. This position will be responsible for coordinating the daily receipt of goods and maintaining accurate inventory counts in the warehouse. In addition, they will be responsible for partnering with other departments throughout the organization to review inventory and system processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops and implements inventory strategies for the advancement of MOFC product distribution.
- Supervises the Inventory team in carrying out the functions of inventory management.
- Maintains the inventory database (via cycle counts, etc.) and physical rotation of products.
- Supervises the data input and maintenance of all incoming product.
- Oversees inbound scheduling for all deliveries.
- Manages product recalls and complies with recall directives as appropriate.
- Partners with Director of Food Resource Development to recommend actions for unusable, slow moving, and excess stock.
- Coordinates resolution of order complaints and inventory discrepancies.
- Manages accurate donor filing systems.
- Adheres to all monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting requirements for MOFC, Feeding America, Ohio Association Foodbanks and all governmental agencies as well as senior management.
- Oversees CHOICE system product acquisition allocations to the Feeding America cluster members.
- Manages TEFAP product acquisition allocations to the PDO.
- Manages receipting of all product received including USDA, Ohio Ag., OFP, Vendor Purchased, Feeding America, Second Servings, Direct Partner pickups, food donations and other special purchases.
- Maintains all sourcing activity requirements to maintain inventory levels required for various feeding programs.
- Partners with Director of Operations to review inventory and systems processes and develop recommendations for improvement.
- Oversees cleaning and organization of receiving/shipping docks.
- Partners with Safety Manager to identify and remedy safety concerns and attends monthly safety meetings.
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Certifications: Four year degree in related field or equivalent education and relevant experience required. Food Safety Certification (provided by MOFC)
Experience: Minimum of two years of experience in a fast-paced, warehouse environment. Experience should include operation of inventory control systems. Equipment experience including use of forklift (propane and electric), electric pallet jacks/riders (4ft and 8ft) is required. Working knowledge of general warehouse machinery and operations. Knowledge of inventory control practices and procedures. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and database software.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Warehouse environment. Safety sensitive position due to regular interaction with heavy machinery. Some night and weekend work may be required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to perform moderate to heavy physical labor (lift 30 lbs frequently and 50 lbs occasionally). Daily walking, bending, reaching, pushing and pulling (300 lbs. with use of manual pallet jack). Frequent standing, walking, lifting, carrying, and reaching. Must work in constantly changing climate temperatures (may work in sub-freezing temperatures occasionally).The Mid-Ohio Food Collective is a Drug-Free Workplace.
