Position Summary
The Inventory Specialist will perform inventory control activities within the Terrasmart business. A successful candidate will establish a strong understanding of all activities related to the flow of inventory and job specific materials. Performs cycle counts and develops a reporting system to maintain and ensure accurate inventory of the materials, inspects inventory and job specific materials as they arrive and processes accordingly. Plays a significant role in problem solving to determine root cause and corrective actions for any inventory issues. Provides direction to team members who handle inventory parts and job specific materials.
Schedule
1st Shift, Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm

• Able to work in a dynamic, non-climate-controlled facility with fluctuations in temperature

Primary Responsibilities (Essential Duties)
- Executes accurate inventory count and timely processing of inventory materials.
- Tracks the flow of incoming and outgoing parts to maintain adequate inventory levels.
- Responsible for the electronic flow of materials within the Epicor MRP system.
- Oversees and administers a cycle count program to verify that physical inventory matches digital inventory.
- Investigates the root cause of discrepancies between physical and digital counts of other inventory issues.
- Responsible for identifying, accurate labeling, proper staging, and maintaining all inventory materials on the grounds.
- Ensures that all inventory parts are qualified and usable though the established receive and inspect process.
- Maintains the integrity of material traceability process to ensure raw material linkage to finished products.
- Manages the disposition of returned production and obsolete inventory.
- Assists and supports individuals who processes inventory materials.
- Updates and revises any part/inventory related training tools as needed.
- Works closely with the Shipping and Receiving team, quality, material handlers, and the production supervisors to maintain minimum/maximum inventory levels.
- Partners with the Terrasmart Supply Chain team, as well as various vendors to ensure the timely delivery of raw materials, finished goods, and consumable materials.
- Inventories and maintains consumable stock as needed.
- Creates and maintains process reports, as necessary.
- Responsible for promoting a safe and hazard-free work environment for the team.
- Plays an active role in identifying and executing continuous improvement opportunities.

Education / Experience: (an equivalent combination of education and/or experience)
- HS Diploma or GED
- 2 Years of Experience in Inventory Control
- 1 Years of Experience in Manufacturing Environment
Technical Skills
- Able to use a computer and office technology (MS Office), familiar with MRP data entry systems.
- Forklift (propane) Certification.
