Inventory Specialist – Material Control
Eagle Technologies, LLC (Newport News, VA) is seeking an Inventory Specialist to support the Material Control department. Eagle Technologies is a small veteran-owned business who designs and manufactures airframe components for the aerospace industry, with a niche in rotor blade and prop blade development. Job Type: Full-time, on-site
Salary: $15.00–20.00/hr
Job Summary: Maintain and continuously improve Material Control to ensure business needs are met. Performs manual and clerical duties related to shipping, receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing, and delivering a variety of materials and supplies, as well as those related to the Production function.
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
• Maintain and update inventory levels for goods, products, and materials.
• Follow the established Material Control procedures to ensure the quality and compliance of logistics operations.
• Monitor inventory levels to ensure they remain within established operating capacity thresholds.
• Order inventory and consumables based on inventory levels and in response to operational needs.
• Conduct quality checks on stored inventory to comply with company standards.
• Perform accurate, detailed data entry.
• Efficiently manage multiple projects while maintaining quality and adherence to deadlines.
• Support the receiving, distribution, load/unload, pickup, transport, and delivery of materials.
• Complete necessary logistics and internal paperwork, and validate shipping and inventory documents.
• Inspect the quality of materials and report any discrepancies.
• Operate material-handling equipment including, but not limited to, trucks, delivery vehicles, hand trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, dollies, and carts.
• Operate office equipment including, but not limited to, copiers, computers, printers, calculators, fax machines, and both land and cell phones.
• Collaborate across departments to ensure quality and timely product release for shipments.
• Accurate labeling and recording of materials.
• Adapt to procedures and processes through on-the-job learning.
• Other activities as may be directed
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Ability to work independently in support of a common goal
• Ability to communicate to all levels of the company.
• Ability to read Bill of Materials
• Ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Strong computer skills with efficiency in MS Office Products (Excel, Access, Word, Outlook)
• Capable of physical mobility including walking, sitting, bending, twisting, standing, pushing, pulling, and lifting (up to 50 pounds periodically.
Credentials and Experience
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess a valid U.S. Driver's license
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Shipping and receiving experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Must be a US citizen.
