About the Job
As Inventory Specialist you will be a member of Busek’s Materials team. You will track ingoing and outgoing inventory, perform cycle counts, and report any discrepancies you are unable to reconcile to support the manufacturing of Busek’s flight hardware builds. The Inventory Control Specialist will work closely with the Supply Chain and Manufacturing teams to ensure build schedules are met.

The company has several R&D labs (over 30K sq.ft.) including over 20 vacuum chambers from 9 feet in diameter to small desktop systems. Busek was founded over three decades ago and incorporated in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in 1985. Our facilities are in Natick MA, approximately 20 miles west of Boston.

• Good organizational skills are necessary to take charge of organizing inventory and improving the efficiency of the selection and shipping process.
• The ability to manage multiple projects at one time in an efficient and timely manner is important in this position.
• Good written and verbal communication skills are crucial for developing new inventory processes.
• Problem-solving skills to come up with ways to improve overall efficiency and overcome inventory problems.

Day to day activities:
- Use our system to communicate inventory information with other business units
- Ensure proper labeling and shipping
- Kit parts as needed for job orders and track inventory transactions
- Ensure compliance with safety standards
- Ensure that inventory is stored correctly to prevent damage
- Identify potential stock out situations and communicate this to purchasing in a timely manner
- Perform basic metrology and inspection of parts
- Clean parts in accordance to relevant procedures
