Their cutting-edge technology focuses on turnkey systems for high-capacity further processing lines. They have asked us to identify a talented and motivated Inventory Supervisor to join their team.
Job Summary:
- To plan, direct and carry out inventory activities with the goal of meeting all sales delivery dates for customer orders, while maintaining budgeted costs and product levels.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Direct, coordinate and plan; stocking levels, material issues out of inventory, inventory control measures and organization methods pertaining to inventory activities.
- Develop budgets and approve expenditures for supplies, materials, and human resources, ensuring that materials, labor and equipment are used efficiently to meet inventory targets.
- Review inventory levels and sales orders to make decisions concerning inventory requirements, staffing requirements, work procedures, and duty assignments, considering budgetary limitations and time constraints.
- Recommend, train and evaluate staff, and resolve personnel grievances.
- Manage inventory costs including overseeing and approving correct time and material allocation on manufacturing receipts.
- Approve all inventory personnel timecards for payroll.
- Manage and schedule all inventory clerks, and delivery drivers.
- Negotiating and administration of purchasing contracts
- Initiate and coordinate cost control programs to achieve the greatest efficiencies and lowest inventory costs for a given part or operation.
- Develop and implement shop safety procedures including planning and conducting monthly safety training as it pertains to inventory and delivery tasks.
- Review operations and confer with shop manager, scheduling or administrative staff to resolve inventory problems.
- Packaging and transport regulatory awareness, compliance and information communication.
- Develop and implement inventory tracking and control systems, analyzing product turnover, lead times, delivery methods, maintenance, and other operational reports, to detect inventory problems.
- Prepare, maintain and analyze inventory reports.
- Review plans, confer with engineering staff, sales, manufacturing engineer, scheduling and project management staff to develop costs and lead times of purchased parts and raw material needed for new projects.
- Develop and coordinate procedures for facility and equipment maintenance or modification, including the replacement of vehicles and machines used for inventory or product delivery.
- Other duties to include continuous improvement projects involving other departments outside of immediate responsibilities.
- Negotiating, organizing, and scheduling both domestic and international freight for company equipment and parts, as needed
- Performs other related duties/projects as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous work experience in a managerial role.
- Previous experience with inventory, shipping, and food processing industry.
