OVERVIEW & PURPOSE
The Inventory Clerk’s primary role is to assist with receiving products, maintain an organized warehouse area, and prepare customer products to be shipped. This position requires the use of pallet jacks and daily forklift driving. A successful candidate will be methodical, organized, take pride in their work, and pay close attention to detail. S/he must pay attention to detail to ensure all jobs are completed in an exemplary manner and any potential hazards or warnings signs of problems are not overlooked. Additionally, s/he is never satisfied with the status quo and is a resourceful troubleshooter. In the times where inventory duties are caught up, s he will assist in the packaging room as needed.
The Inventory Clerk reports to the Plant Manager for daily inventory tasks and for general employee performance and behavior. S/he must develop and maintain good working relationships with staff, suppliers, and customers. S/he must be a team player who is reliable and understands their dependability is important for the team’s success.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure all quality standards are followed
Ensure all inventory is accounted for and documented
Operate manual pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks, electric and propane forklifts
Complete required internal certification for forklift operation
Follow all safety practices
Stack pallets, wrap pallets, and load pallets/ cases for customer load-outs
Provide amazing customer service during aggregation and load-outs
Unload supply trucks and check off on invoices to ensure accuracy
Perform full physical counts and cycle counts as instructed by Plant Manager
Attend all staff and department meetings
Maintain cleanliness of freezer and dock areas
Ability to be flexible with scheduling between the hours of 7am and 5pm depending on scheduled pickups/deliveries.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Previous use of inventory systems preferred
One year of warehouse management preferred
One year of forklift experience preferred
High school diploma or GED certificate preferred
Knowledge of meat cuts preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to sit for extended periods as needed
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Ability to lift heavy loads of up to 60 pounds
Good hand-eye coordination
Physical stamina to maintain continuous active movement

Compensation: $14.00 per hour, depending on experience. Opportunity for a pay increase based on performance at 90 day evaluation. We believe in rewarding a job well done.
