We are currently looking for an Investment Banking Associate to join our Consumer team in our Charlotte or San Francisco offices. Our associate position offers a unique opportunity for professionals seeking to play a meaningful role in our continued growth while gaining significant experience in M&A, debt, equity and equity-linked transactions. The associate will prepare valuations, write memorandums for company sale assignments and private placements, prepare M&A analyses, and participate in due diligence and drafting sessions for public offerings. The associate is responsible for structuring and executing transactions, and typically functions as a backup for relationships with important clients, is generally the key contact for some clients, and begins to assume some important new business responsibilities.

• 2+ years of Investment Banking experience and prior work experience involving financial analysis or transaction execution
• Degree in finance, business, management plus other related degrees
• Exceptional work ethic and a high level of enthusiasm, initiative, and leadership potential
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to develop trust with clients and internal partners
• Strong knowledge of accounting and financial modeling
• Motivated, team player with an interest and ability to learn in an energetic and challenging environment

The anticipated starting salary range for California-based individuals expressing interest in this position is $175,000 - $225,000 per year. Placement within this range is dependent upon level of experience. This position is eligible for annual incentive compensation which will be a part of the total compensation. Total compensation for this position will be competitive with the market.
