The Role
Aquarian Holdings is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Investment Operations Analyst(s) to join our dynamic Investment Operations team. The Investment Operations team at Aquarian collaborates with many different teams firmwide including Investment teams, Finance, Compliance, and Senior Leadership. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the investment process, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of trade settlement, reconciliation, and reporting functions. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and contributes to the overall success of our investment strategies.
This position is located in New York City.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the accurate processing of trades, including trade capture, confirmation, and settlement, ensuring adherence to internal and regulatory standards.
- Perform daily and monthly reconciliation of cash and positions with custodians and internal systems, ensuring discrepancies are identified and resolved in a timely manner.
- Support and review processes for the integrity and accuracy of data within investment management systems, including updates and maintenance of security and pricing data.
- Assist in compliance monitoring by ensuring all operational processes align with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Contribute to and support reporting process on investment performance, transaction activity, and operational metrics for internal stakeholders.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, counterparties, third party vendors, and internal stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and problem resolution.
Ideal profile and characteristics:
- Bachelor's degree in finance / economics, accounting, business administration, computer science, data management or a related field.
- 0-3 years of experience in investment operations, trade support, loan agency or a related internship within financial services.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite with a strong emphasis on Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
