Primary responsibilities:
- Trend, analyze, and report re-occurring and critical issues to the software and hardware team
- Track and manage incidents to closure. Regularly report to stakeholders on open tickets (incidents), rate of closure, etc.
- Handle outages and provide support for hardware/gateway problems in installed location
- Troubleshoot software UI issues and complex issues related to combinations of software, hardware and firmware
- Investigate and resolve issues or escalate to lead engineer or team leader when needed
- Collaborate with engineers and business leads to accurately report findings and enable improvements to current system as well as enable best practices
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of the Linux operating system
- Knowledge of computer networking protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP and cellular networks
- Knowledge and interest in electronics and IoT devices such as Raspberry Pi, Arduino
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Perl, PowerShell
- Hands on experience installing, working with small electronic equipment like cable boxes, modems, etc. preferred
- Willingness to learn new tools, technologies and stays current with market trends
- Have a can-do attitude with a take ownership approach and strong interpersonal skills
- Must be a strong team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- 1+ years of hardware/IOT devices testing experience is a plus (Hardware testing and diagnosis experience)
- Experience working in lab environments
- Good time management, interpersonal and communication, problem solving skills.
- Willingness to travel for training and meetings related to this position
