The Gardeners Landscape is seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Irrigation Technician to oversee and manage irrigation installations and maintenance for residential and commercial clients. This is a hands-on, field position requiring extensive knowledge of irrigation systems, including troubleshooting, repair, and installation. You will be responsible for managing crews, ensuring high-quality work, and maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

- Crew Management: Oversee daily operations of irrigation crews, including managing trucks, tools, machines, and team members to ensure efficiency and quality of work.
- Installation & Maintenance: Lead and assist with irrigation installations and troubleshooting for various types of systems, including residential and commercial projects.
- Plan Interpretation: Read and interpret landscape and irrigation plans to guide the team in proper installation and maintenance practices.
- Problem-Solving: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve irrigation system issues, ensuring optimal performance of conventional and 2-wire systems.
- Safety & Compliance: Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing safety standards, inspecting job sites, and adhering to legal and organizational regulations.
- Estimating & Bidding: Assist with project planning, including calculating labor, equipment, material, and overhead costs for current and future projects.
- Material Management: Ensure necessary materials and parts are available to keep crews and machinery operating efficiently.
- Training & Development: Coach and mentor crew members, helping them to develop their skills and improve job performance.
- Professional Development: Stay updated on industry trends and best practices by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications, and participating in relevant trade shows and seminars.
- Strong people management skills, with experience overseeing crews and maintaining a positive, productive work environment.
- Proficiency in site development, planning, and estimating for irrigation projects.
- Expertise in low voltage electrical systems, with a deep understanding of conventional and 2-wire irrigation systems.
- Ability to operate and maintain irrigation equipment and tools efficiently.
- Excellent attention to detail, ensuring that all projects meet high-quality standards.
- Ability to read and interpret landscape and irrigation plans.
- Experience working with vendors and managing material orders.
- Strong understanding of basic safety protocols and the ability to enforce a safe work environment.
