The successful applicant will work from New York, NY, on a hybrid basis (approximately 50% on-site). This position's salary range is $93,000 - $99,000 per year, with an annual incentive opportunity.

- Install, configure, patch, and manage physical and virtual Linux servers.
- Set up, configure, and oversee Apache web services.
- Use third-party tools (SolarWinds/Splunk), automation, and shell scripts to monitor server and database performance, availability, and security.
- Execute successful backups for all systems and databases and perform recovery operations as needed.
- Ensure high availability of Oracle systems, document disaster recovery plans, and conduct regular testing.
- Collaborate with team members to implement and support software solutions, customizations, and integrations.
- Troubleshoot performance issues, system failures, and security incidents promptly.
- Provide technical knowledge in current and upcoming Linux and Oracle-related technologies for existing and future use.
- Ensure confidentiality; adhere to the AAA's information security and data privacy policies, procedures, and practices.
- Attend on-site meetings and training sessions.
- Demonstrate regular, reliable, and predictable job attendance.
Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; 2 years of experience in Linux Administration; 2 years of experience in an IT support or Systems role; or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as legal files, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and business correspondence; ability to speak effectively, both in person and by telephone, to customers, attorneys, arbitrators, mediators, and employees of the organization.
Communications Abilities: (Verbal) Expresses oneself clearly in conversations and interactions with others; tailors speech to the level and experience of the audience; uses appropriate grammar and choice of words; expresses ideas in a concise, organized manner; maintains eye contact when speaking with others; (Written) Expresses oneself clearly and concisely in writing; tailors written communications to reach an audience effectively; uses graphics and other aids to clarify complex or technical information; spells correctly; writes using concrete, specific language; uses punctuation correctly; writes grammatically.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with various concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions consistent with the essential job functions.
Technology Skills: Proficiency in system administration, including Windows and Linux environments, network administration, protocols, security, and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
