We’re looking for an International Safety Management (ISM) Manager to help lead our efforts, they will be responsible for assisting the fleet in its implementation of the ISM Code, as well as other regulatory requirements. They will be reviewing and providing comments on policy and procedure changes with regards to fleetwide implementation, providing support on Action Plan implementation for all audit and inspections as necessary, including identifying key areas of risk across the remainder of the fleet. Additionally, analyzing trends across all aspects of ISM, to identify areas of improvement, including reviewing shipboard meeting minutes, as well as other areas of reporting.

Responsibilities
- Assist the fleet in procedure and policy implementation
- Assist fleet in action plan completion, and attending Audit Review Committees as necessary
- Review policies and procedures in draft, identifying possible areas of risk prior to implementation
- Review relevant Shipboard Safety Minutes and reports
- Ensure shipboard certification is up to date
- Track and process regulatory updates from Flag States
- Support in trending & analysis Audit / Inspection findings
- Coordinating with other Operating lines within the scope of ISM, identifying and sharing lessons learned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Nautical Science, a Deck or Engine License preferred
- 5 years seagoing experience as a Deck or Engine Officer
- Experience working within Planned Maintenance Systems
- Knowledgeable in Passenger Shipping Operations
- Experience working with a safety management system program and providing feedback or developing new procedures for continuous improvement of that system
- Knowledge of the ISM Code, as well as other International Maritime Regulations
- Knowledgeable in Passenger Shipping Operations
- Effective oral/written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience working with Microsoft Office
