We are looking for a skilled and experienced IT administrator to join our team. In this role, the candidate will provide general IT support in a global environment with an emphasis on laptop setup and global support services to our employees. In partnership with our professional services team, this team member will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining laptops and related software, as well as troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise. They will also ensure that laptops are secure, updated, and compliant with company policies and standards. To be successful in this role, this team member should have a strong knowledge of laptop hardware and software, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills. They should also be able to work independently and as part of a team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set up and configure laptops for new hires, transfers, and replacements globally
- Review and coordinate global incident tickets with the professional services team
- Install and update software applications and drivers on laptops. - Troubleshoot and resolve laptop issues, such as connectivity, performance, security, etc.
- Management of distribution groups
- Systems training during onboarding for all new hires (Box/SharepointWorkday
- Implement security protocols and procedures to prevent potential threats
- Document and update processes and procedures documentation
- Developing and maintaining data retrieval and recovery procedures
- Provide technical support and guidance to laptop users.
- Maintain inventory and documentation of laptops and related equipment.
- Perform regular backups and data recovery of laptops.
- Monitor and enforce laptop security policies and best practices.
- Coordinate the shipment recovery of laptop equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in IT, computer science, or related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in laptop setup and support or similar role.
- Proficient in Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office 365, Intune, Autopilotand other common laptop software.
- Experience with Azure Virtual Machines a plus
- Familiar with laptop hardware components and specifications.
- Knowledge of network protocols, VPN, firewall, switches, and wireless access, etc.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly and effectively.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
