About The Position:
The onsite IT Systems Administrator is responsible for maintaining and supporting the organization’s IT infrastructure while ensuring high availability and delivering exceptional technical support to users. This role integrates day-to-day helpdesk duties with advanced system administration functions, requiring expertise in troubleshooting, infrastructure management, and project coordination. The Administrator will provide first-line helpdesk support, assist users with their technical needs, and troubleshoot issues related to our ERP system, Quantum Component Control. This position will coordinate with both the R1 IT department and EIC’s technical team as necessary.
IT Support and Help Desk
- Provide first-level user support by troubleshooting hardware and software issues in person and remotely.
- Respond to incoming support requests, ensuring timely resolution or proper escalation according to IT policy.
- Assist staff with technical issues, maintaining logs of support activities.
- Set up, maintain, and track IT equipment (computers, printers, routers) and inventory.
- Manage user accounts across systems (Active Directory, Office 365, 3CX, CodeTwo).
- Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 emergency support as necessary.
- Troubleshoot application connectivity issues between Quantum Component Control and Office 365, as well as Quantum and label printers.
- Collaborate with Component Control to diagnose issues and communicate proposed resolutions.
- Support the business needs across Quantum for Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO), Parts Manufacturing Approval (PMA), and Inventory/Part Sales.
- Assist Accounting, Receiving, Shipping, Supply Chain, and Sales departments in relation to Quantum and analytics needs.
- Monitor, administer, and maintain servers, networks, and IT infrastructure, including firewalls, VPNs, and LAN/WAN systems.
- Ensure system security by managing antivirus, patching, and backup systems, conducting regular checks on system logs and backups.
- Support the design, deployment, and documentation of IT infrastructure and security protocols.
- Manage software licenses and ensure compliance, including Office 365.
- Conduct disaster recovery testing and infrastructure maintenance outside production hours.
- Reconcile IT assets, manage purchasing, and oversee the decommissioning of old systems.
- Maintain documentation of networks, security groups, and distribution lists.
- Organize testing and schedule upgrades, patches, and maintenance outside production hours, including OS, antivirus, and malware protection.
- Diploma or Technical Certificate in IT related field
- 3 years in a combined system administration and helpdesk role.
- Familiarity with helpdesk ticketing systems and IT operations (system monitoring, troubleshooting, and asset management).
- Hands-on experience with Active Directory, Office 365, endpoint security management, and Quantum Control.
- Proficiency in Oracle SQL, stored procedures, functions, and custom reporting for business intelligence.
- Knowledge of Microsoft technologies (Windows Server 2012/2016, Azure, Intune), VMware, and scripting/automation (PowerShell).
- Understanding of security best practices, data protection, disaster recovery planning, and IT policy management.
- Technical certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Linux, Cisco) are a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make recommendations.
- Experience in the aviation sector and enterprise platforms like MS SharePoint.
- Experience with Crystal Reports 2016, Delphi 7 forms, and SQL for reports and analytics.
- Must be available for emergencies and after-hours support as needed to ensure 24/7 system uptime.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities and deadlines.
- This is an onsite position: 8am-5pm
