Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is seeking an experienced Senior IT Analyst / Jira Coordinator for a Contract assignment with one of our premier Financial Services clients in lower Manhattan, NYC. Hybrid – 2 days/week in the office required.
The role will serve as a Senior Analyst in the Technology Governance Office, supporting IT remediation activities for U.S. related to regulatory finding(s).

The role will serve as a Senior Analyst in the Technology Governance Office, supporting IT remediation activities for U.S. related to regulatory finding(s).
Responsibilities:
- Set up a new process using Jira including enhancing Jira, training users, monitoring Jira, working with Dev team to test Jira enhancements, etc.
- Act as Analyst for the Change Management U.S. remediation workstream
- Assist team in driving progress on sustainability initiatives resulting from the completion of plan deliverables for JIRA enhancements, Escalations and Deferrals
- Provide ongoing analysis, assessing impact of ongoing changes by amending or creating new procedures and processes accordingly, as required.
- Provide ongoing support for continued remediation by supporting respective teams managing these key sustainability initiatives.
- Collaborate with technology partners and key stakeholders to ensure effective communication of change goals and objectives is included in key documents.
- Monitor progress of change initiatives to ensure successful completion.
- Escalate risks, issues, and dependencies to workstream lead and management.
- Maintain appropriate documentation and evidence throughout the remediation process, keeping the evidence repositories updated.
- This is not a Project Manager role but having these skills will help.
- Strong knowledge of Jira and experience modifying it to support organizational needs
- Project management/coordination skills to manage subtasks and milestones related to Jira
- PM or BA background is helpful
- UAT process and testing experience will help succeed
- 3+ years' experience in the following areas:
- Business/Technical Analysis
- Technology
- Document Management
- Change Management
- Excellent writing and oral communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and work simultaneously on various tasks, independently and to completion.
- Attentive to detail
- Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
- Demonstrable experience with business/technical analysis and documentation activities required.
- Excellent Word, Excel, and PowerPoint presentation skills.
- Experience within a financial institution.
- Regulatory experience
