- Under general supervision, assists with the purchase, installation, and support of network communications, including LAN/WAN systems. Candidates with strong CISCO (i.e. SME) and general networking skills needed.
Position Responsibilities:
- Assists in the development and maintenance of network communications.
- Uses knowledge of LAN/WAN systems to help design and install internal and external networks.
- Tests and evaluates network systems to eliminate problems and make improvements.
- Monitors the performance of the network and troubleshoots problems.
- Assists in the planning of large scale systems projects through vendor comparison and cost studies.
- Responsible for evaluating current systems and making recommendations for improvements to enhance service to internal/external clients and/or improve efficiency, reduce costs, etc.
- Participates in special projects and/or perform other duties as assigned.
- Must possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism.
- Must be a team player who handles multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced environment.
- Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to present ideas and solutions to all levels of management
- Able to effectively prioritize tasks in a fast pace environment
- Strong customer service skills
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, IT or related area preferred.
- 4+ years of related experience.
- LAN/WAN Knowledge
- VPN configuration and troubleshooting
- Firewall setup configuration and support
- General network troubleshooting skills
- MPLS configuration and troubleshooting
- Excellent documentation skills
- Cisco certifications
- Healthcare Industry experience
