This is a massive undertaking and are looking for Consultative type people to come in and help lead the effort. The project is going to kickoff January 2025 and they want this person started before Christmas, if at all possible.
Overview:
We are seeking an IT Business Analyst to lead and support projects focused on optimizing Revenue Accounting processes within our ERP landscape. This role will work directly with stakeholders and IT teams to define requirements, design solutions, and guide project delivery, ensuring that both technical and business needs are met. As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for creating functional test strategies, driving improvements in accounting workflows, and supporting greenfield projects.

What you’ll do
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs, especially related to Revenue Accounting, JIB, and ERP processes. Document and validate business requirements for various projects and enhancements.
- Develop a comprehensive functional test strategy that aligns with business needs and system requirements, ensuring accurate results and system integration across accounting and ERP platforms.
- Lead and participate in the full project lifecycle from requirements gathering through testing, deployment, and post-implementation support. Ensure projects adhere to Agile methodologies and SDLC best practices.
- Collaborate with developers, architects, and subject matter experts to design and document effective solutions. Utilize BOLO or similar tools to design and implement optimized Revenue Accounting workflows.
- Act as a liaison between the business and IT teams, facilitating clear and open communication. Provide insights to stakeholders regarding system capabilities and limitations, ensuring project alignment with organizational goals.
- Develop test plans, execute test cases, and manage defect resolution in collaboration with QA teams. Lead user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure all solutions meet business requirements and quality standards.
- Create and deliver reports and analysis to provide visibility into project progress, issue tracking, and performance. Use reporting tools within ERP and JIB systems to analyze data and deliver insights to stakeholders.
- Identify areas for improvement in business processes related to revenue accounting, JIB, and ERP. Provide recommendations and implement changes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and overall process effectiveness.
What you need
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in large-scale enterprise environments, focusing on Revenue Accounting, JIB, and ERP systems. Proven experience with functional testing, test strategy development, and greenfield projects.
- Strong understanding of Revenue Accounting principles and ERP systems
- Familiarity with BOLO software is highly preferred.
- Proficiency with Agile, SDLC, and project management methodologies.
- Experience with functional test strategy development and execution.
