IT Business Analyst

Desirable Technical / Functional Skills:
· Certification in Business Analysis (CBAP).
· Modeling and understanding of solution architecture is desirable.
· Experience in project management, quality management, and implementing company initiatives.
Mandatory Technical / Functional Skills:
· Business Analysis, Requirements Gathering, Elicitation and Business Process Improvement experience is mandatory Must have excellent customer engagement skills, excellent oral and written communication, presentation and collaboration skills are paramount to the success of the individual.
· Strong organization skills with the ability to deal with multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Must have experience with one or more software delivery methodologies, ideally Agile and waterfall.
· Experience working on a large scale project/ program implementing software
· Experience in Business Process Mapping with major software solutions
· Experience using prototyping and design tools
Roles and responsibility:
· The IT Business Analyst is primarily responsible for, but not limited to:
· Under general direction formulates and defines systems scope and objectives based on both user needs and a good understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements.
· Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering systems and operational limitations to achieve the desired results.
· Includes analysis of business and user needs, documentation of requirements and translation into proper system requirement specifications.
· Competent to work at the highest technical level of most phases of systems analysis while considering the business implications of the application of technology to the current and future business environment
· Serves as a technical contributor in particular business processes responsible for formulating systems scope and objectives relative to the organization's business plan and industry requirements.
· Acts as a member of a project team responsible for providing technical guidance concerning the
· Business implications of the application of various systems.
· Creates detailed specifications from which programs will be written.
· Gathering and understanding business processes / user requirements, and shaping them with the business so that functional requirements can be defined.
· Communicating detailed requirements and business rules through user stories, use cases, wireframes, prototyping and other supporting documentation.
· Documenting existing processes, workflows and dataflow.
· Collaborating with solution architects, vendors and other members of the IT department to identify and document non-functional requirements.
· May have quality assurance responsibilities of defining, developing and documenting test scripts and being a tester when applicable.
· Ensuring adherence to project management process, systems development methodology (both Agile and Traditional) and quality standards for producing project deliverables.
· Preparing status reports, meeting minutes and presentations
