Job Description:
The IT Certifications Program Associate provides direct and indirect support for non-credit certification Workforce Development IT Certification training programs. Responsibilities document tracking, maintenance of vendor platforms, and student recruitment. The position works closely with the Director of Workforce Development (WFD), and the Assistant Director of Workforce Development The position is primarily funded by a New York State Office of Strategic Workforce Development (OSWD) Grant until December 2025.
Primary Job Duties/Responsibilities:
· Maintain paperwork in compliance with grant requirements.
· Coordinate the use of curriculum, platforms, delivery methods and assessment measures.
· Conducts program participant coaching with a focus on success pathways including industry certification such as with CompTIA and other IT industry recognized certifications and badges.
· Works with colleagues to execute funded and grant related programs.
· Serve as a contributor to WFD and technology-related grants, and community engagement.
· Is actively involved in the recruitment process.
· Maintain record of IT certifications earned and employment gained for WFD grant funded program participants.
· Order and maintain inventory of all IT class related supplies including textbooks, vendor platform access codes and certification exam vouchers.
· Add courses, instructors and students to each vendor platform used for instruction.
· Stay up to date on IT Certification Exam retirement dates and new exam release dates.
· Update course content as needed with exam retirement/new releases to ensure the most up to date certification material is included.
· Maintain inventory of laptop computers for loan.
Minimum Qualifications:
· IT Certificates
· 5-7 years of experience in an IT discipline, business, or related field with appropriate industry experience.
· A proven record of excellence in training or demonstrated evidence of training potential.
· Experience teaching and training in synchronous and asynchronous modalities.
· Coaching: Ability to meet students where they are and guide them to successful outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications:
· An associate's degree in an IT discipline, education, business, analytics, or related field with appropriate industry experience
· IT certifications in subject areas and or the ability and motivation to earn certifications as recommended by the Director, Workforce Development Department.
· Experience in IT Management.
