IT Computer Operator at Vaco, LLC

About the Job
JOB OBJECTIVE:
Operate, monitor and support IT infrastructure and Data Center environments
Ensure the timely completion of all scheduled batch cycles and processes workload during the shift and support the workflow of computer operations
Contribute to a positive customer support experience and build rapport and trust with business partners and application teams.
EXPERIENCE:
-5 years experience as an operator in a data center environment.
-Knowledge of service management software
ServiceNow experience is a plus.
-Knowledge of workflow automation software
Control-M experience is a plus.
-Knowledge of monitoring software
SolarWinds experience is a plus.
-Experience with both mainframe and distributed systems operations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
-Monitor application processing, networking, and all Data Center hardware and software, taking appropriate actions according to defined procedures as issues arise.
-Document shift activities and incidents according to defined procedures.
-Conduct walkthroughs of the Data Center to verify there are no physical issues.
-Respond to calls and inquiries to facilitate the timely resolution of incidents and completion of requests for service.
-Work with senior and lead operations staff to perform daily approved changes according to defined technical standards as instructed.
-Control physical access to the facility and monitor the physical state of all aspects of the Data Center.
-Work with staff to troubleshoot and resolve issues as needed.
WORK DETAILS:
-Start Date - As soon as possible
June 17th would be ideal if we find a candidate that quickly
-End Date - Approximately 12/31/2024.
-Expected hours to work per week – Three / twelve-hour workdays per week for a total of 36 hours
Both roles are night shift
Opportunity for some OT
Weekends - See ‘Core hours to Work’
-Core hours to Work - Shift rotates
Both roles are night shift with hours of 5:30 pm to 5:30 am.
Position 1:
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday for 2 weeks
Then Thursday, Friday, Saturday for 2 weeks
Position 2:
Sunday, Monday, Tuesday for 2 weeks
Then Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday for 2 weeks
Then rotation reverses in August
Details will be discussed during the interview
Work location - New Albany Ohio
Hybrid - No.
Experience Minimum - 5 years’ experience as a computer operator in a data center environment
MISCELLANEOUS:
-Interview process via Teams Meeting
-Background and drug screening will be required and must have successfully passed prior to onboarding.
-It is possible this role could convert to an FTE, but that will not be determined in Q4 of 2024.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:
the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;
licensure and certification requirements;
office location and other geographic considerations;
other business and organizational needs.
With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure
The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
