Description:Markon is looking for an IT Consultant to support one of our Intelligence Community customers. The IT Consultant will serve as a trusted advisor, and functions as a key point of contact for the branch chief and appointees. They will advocate on behalf of our customers to ensure their IT services meet their business priorities and needs. This position will provide highly valued strategic consulting level support and guidance throughout initiatives; facilitating and serving as a direct support to the Government Team Lead and branch leadership to lead the planning and execution of initiatives to enable IT customers to achieve objectives through the effective use of technology. Provides Technical expertise and consulting for IT related Projects. Leads the completion of a wide range of technical assignments, including such things as analysis of technical issues, review of technical documents, development and analysis of requirements, development of technical papers, and the development of technical recommendations.
Responsibilities:- Provide business and technical strategies for IT development to involve requirement elicitation, analysis, and functional allocation.
- Analyze and evaluate business goals and requirements; recommend strategies to increase MPO success.
- Develop controls (course of action, workarounds, etc).
- Obtain and maintain knowledge of industry best practices and provide IT recommendations/strategies based on industry practice.
- Liaison between MPO customers and various contractor support teams.
- Provide recommendations/solutions that are efficient and cost effective.
- Meet with internal/external customers to develop required and efficient requirements
- Proactively examine customer needs; performance analysis to identify gaps and opportunities.
- Perform SWOT analysis as required.
- 20+ years of technical expertise
- Active TS/SCI FS Poly clearance
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of word processing and integrated software applications.
- Strong written and verbal communicate skills
- Self-Motivated
- Ability to facilitate/lead IT projects and teams
