Responsibilities:
The Data Analyst and Developer supports the definition, design and implementation of data and reporting projects for Optum Technologies, Information Risk Management.
The ideal candidate will be an individual with a broad set of software programming, database and reporting development skills.
The position work on reporting development projects using both Tableau and MS SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) to build, maintain and evolve reports, dashboards and associated databases that support the needs of the business
Create new reports and modifying existing reports as well as building supporting reporting fact and trending tables/datamarts
ETL/ELT and application data integration development work with MS SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and or other tools and programming languages as needed
Collaborating with the business and data owners on data analysis, cleansing and quality assessments/projects
Collaborating with business clients on the best way to present the data and metrics
Developing data mapping, designs, and implementing extract/transform/load processes using MS SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and other ETL/ELT tools and programming languages (MS & open source stacks)

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or related field
- 3 - 5 years of database and ETL development
- 3 - 5 years of experience in Business Intelligence and Reporting experience
- Experience in Tableau strong knowledge of best practices for dashboards and visualizations is required Strong analytical skills and comfortable working with large data sets and ability to transform data into actionable insights
- Experience using Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services and/or other ETL tools to extract, transform and load data and build reporting fact tables/repositories from a variety of platforms housing sources of truth of enterprise data
- Strong SQL development skills- writing complex queries and stored procedures- SQL, PL/SQL, T-SQL
- Experience developing and consuming web services and working with XML/XSLT/XQuery/REST/SOAP/SAML
- Experience in documenting design specifications and other related documents
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic and Agile development lifecycle
- Can do attitude and a team player
- Willing and able to learn new technologies and work with them to deliver solutions
